Job Summary
The Opportunity


Join our team and support various projects within the Medical Group, Imaging, and Anesthesia departments. The Enterprise Analytics (EA) team consists of skilled analysts who provide data analytics support across various areas at Mass General Brigham. As an intern, you will gain hands-on experience working in an Agile/Kanban environment and receive training on Snowflake, Tableau dashboards, and other analytics tools used by our team.


The Student Intern receives academic credit in accordance with school and internship guidelines. The MGB internship program provides hands-on professional learning experiences specific to the department.

• Career Exploration: Provides real time experience to explore if a particular field or position aligns with long-term career aspirations.
• Organizational Insight: Provide a deeper understanding of MGB culture, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.


Principal Duties and Responsibilities
• Gain an understanding of the data, interfaces, and reporting processes of the MGB Tableau dashboards.
• Identify and design the appropriate data structures to support the dashboard that is to be created and work with data integration developers and analysts to complete this data integration.
• Work with key stakeholders to review and validate the dashboards and bring them to completion by promoting the new dashboards.
• Perform thorough and adequate data validation checks through the development and execution of appropriate test cases.
• Train end users and develop user and technical support documentation.
• Gain an understanding of Microsoft SQL Server, Tableau, the Microsoft Office suite, and partner with the MGB Digital data platform teams on a journey to build new products in Snowflake, leveraging other tools and technologies as needed.



Qualifications



Education



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Student Intern must be currently enrolled in college courses (under-grad or post-grad degree program) in related field

  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau; SQL skills are a plus

  • Ability to contribute effectively in a team environment, with strong documentation skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges





We are looking for a motivated and talented student eager to gain practical experience in developing data analytics capabilities tailored to healthcare applications. Specific projects will be assigned at the start of the internship based on the team's current needs. This role will involve coding and analytical tasks. You will collaborate with a cross-functional team and actively participate in team meetings. Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to learn are essential.



Working Conditions Required



  • Internship duration: June 2nd to August 8th, 2025

  • Commitment: 40 hours per week M-F Eastern Business Hours

  • Work Schedule: Hybrid role, including onsite presence at MGB local sites and Assembly Row weekly

  • Remote workdays require a stable, quiet, secure working area that is HIPAA-compliant

  • Onsite events will be pre-scheduled, and onsite workdays may vary based on departmental needs; flexibility is required
