Residential Programs and Services houses approximately 12,000 predominately first year students in 15 traditional residence halls. In addition to our traditional floors, we have 21 Living Learning Centers and Thematic Communities.
Job Summary
Work the center desk and assist with conference activities that occur in center and serving on-call responsibilities at nights and weekends.
Lead tours for incoming residents during orientation.
Serve in an on-call capacity after 5:00pm during the week, and 24 hours on the weekend.
Serve as the initial contact for any issues outside after regular business hours.
Provide excellent customer service to our guests.
Assist with May closing responsibilities (checking rooms, making lists, bag, and tag).
Assist with opening responsibilities to help get ready for fall during downtimes.

Required
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University Bloomington.

Working Conditions / Demands
The person in this role must be able to navigate assigned buildings for tours and crisis response. The person in this role must be able to move items up to 75 pounds multiple times per shift. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Weekend working hours are occasionally required. This role will include responding to calls and crises after business hours.

A single room in the residence center of employment and a summer meal plan are included.

Flexible work schedule with up to 29 hours per week based on conference needs.
