Residential Programs and Services houses approximately 12,000 predominately first year students in 15 traditional residence halls. In addition to our traditional floors, we have 21 Living Learning Centers and Thematic Communities.
Job Summary
Co-supervised by the RLC-SD(s) and RLC-O working in the building assigned.
Assist the RLC-O in importing rosters into our conference software.
Provide support to the center desk outside of regular business hours (weekends and evenings).
Train extensively in Iris Front Desk, Iris Coordinator, CS Gold and other applications.
Will assist the RLC-O with conference rosters and attend select handoff meetings.
Troubleshoot technology issues outside of regular business hours and be present at check-ins.
Serve in an elevated on-call capacity for the Conference Assistants for the building(s) assigned.
Assist in scheduling the CAs and CDAs for desk shifts, check-ins, and check-outs.
Provide excellent customer service to our guests.

EDUCATION
Required
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University Bloomington.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Preferred
Previous experience as a summer staff member.

Working Conditions / Demands
The person in this role must be able to navigate assigned buildings for tours and crisis response. The person in this role must be able to move items up to 75 pounds multiple times per shift. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Weekend working hours are occasionally required.
This role will include responding to calls and crises after business hours.
Additional Information
Previous employment with Residence Life, particularly in roles such as Conference Assistant (CA) or Senior Conference Assistant (SCA), will have priority consideration due to the high level of responsibility the position entails.
Start date for this role: May 12th, 2025, through August 3rd, 2025.

Advertised Salary
$14.25 per hour
A single room in the residence center of employment and a summer meal plan are included.
Work Hours
Flexible work schedule that is typically set for the summertime.
Up to 29 hours per week based on conference needs.
Monday-Sunday 8:00 am to 10:00 pm
