Volt is immediately hiring for Maintenance Mechanics in Commerce, CA.


This is a Full-Time/Direct Hire opportunity with competitave benefits.


Shift: Start time: 9AM (40 hour work week) Sat-Wed (Off Thurs/Fri)


Rate: Starting at $32-40 per hour (Depending on experience)

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.


Summary:


Join our central kitchen maintenance team! We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to keep our production running smoothly. You'll troubleshoot electrical/motor controls, perform TIG welding, and handle diverse mechanical and plumbing tasks on our automated lines. Experience in the food industry is a plus.


Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems, including motor controls, relays, AC/DC motors, and VFDs.
• Perform TIG welding on stainless steel components.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment, including conveyors, dough lines, pastry lines, pumps, and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues, including changing out removable plastic belting.
• Handle basic plumbing tasks, including installing and connecting plumbing for production equipment and braising copper pipes.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in manufacturing industry (Food Industry / GMP knowledge or similar industries like pharmaceuticals preferred).
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills, specifically with motor controls, relays, and AC/DC motors.
• TIG welding experience with stainless steel is highly preferred.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and experience with preventive maintenance.
• Basic plumbing skills
