Job Description:





Job purpose



Our Plant Manager is responsible for the overall operations of the Likwifier division, including safety, quality, cost and on-time delivery. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated and trusted partner. They must be committed to serving others and able to lead teams, learning and implementing lean manufacturing principles.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities




  • Provide direction to Plant leadership team to develop processes ensuring safety, quality, cost, and delivery continue to remain the highest daily priorities.
  • Develop continuous improvement process to drive further efficiency in the operation, reducing costs and eliminating waste.
  • Partner with Purchasing Manager to develop sourcing plan to reduce costs.
  • Further develop daily production performance metrics and reporting / analysis process.
  • Work directly with HR to develop new hire training / onboarding plan.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and organizational policies.
  • Submit Capital Expenditure justification and requests.
  • Ensure plant meets or exceeds budgeted profit targets.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications




Education

  • College degree preferred.
  • Continuous improvement experience preferred.
  • Project management experience preferred.

Specialized Knowledge and Experience

  • Minimum of five years in a manufacturing environment with three in a management role.
  • P&L responsibility
  • Familiarity with continuous improvement tools and processes.
  • Experience in a low volume, complex manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in metal fabrication and/or machine shop.



Other Skills and Abilities




  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to use ERP systems and Microsoft Office efficiently to accomplish tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, solve problems and make decisions.
  • Capable of transitioning tasks quickly as business needs require.
  • Strong analytical skills and organizational skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • High degree of honesty and integrity.
  • Works well with teammates and contributes to a team environment.
  • Must be action-oriented, with a "whatever it takes" attitude.
  • Must display consistent quality in work with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Displays professionalism, courtesy when working with customers, outside parties and co-workers.



Travel



Travel will be required to Ensight locations and customer locations, as needed.
