SEACORP is seeking a well-qualified Logistician I.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Job Summary: SEACORP is currently seeking a Logistician.The Logistician role will coordinate and maintain LCSF supply logisticalfunctions for NUWC Newport. The role will integrate the spectrum of thelogistics processes within the operational, acquisition and wholesaleenvironments. Logisticians are responsible for directing the integratedlogistics process, developing support policies, procedures and systems, andproviding implementation guidance. The Logistician prepares and implementsdirectives to ensure effective logistics support and establishes and enforcesstandards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained andequipped. It is the Logistician's duty to develop, initiate, integrate andmanage all logistics actions associated with life cycle management of weaponsystems, subsystems and equipment.

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform physical audits of incoming and outgoingequipment. Support ongoing laboratory efforts including test events, equipmentgrooms and problem investigation efforts.
  • Receiving/stowing material, issuing material fromstock, conducting inventories, managing Interim Spares Inventory daily usingNavy Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), excessing material for equipment nolonger in use, carcass turn in, initiating and tracking procurements throughreceipt and delivery to end user.
  • Provide availability/compatibility investigation insupport of material requirements and submit procurements accordingly.
  • Act as a liaison between all sites for emergency fleetand site requests; responsible for 24-hour response time in shipping material.
  • Provide fleet material support, Casualty Reports(CASREPs) and conduct yearly inventories in support of NAVSEA07 sponsor.
  • Coordinate and participate with scheduling InterimSpares Conferences prior to scheduled inventories.

Education: Bachelor's Degree.

Experience: 0 years of experience required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands: Office & Computer Laboratories - Sitting, standing, extended periods of time using a mouse and keyboard and viewing computer screens. Infrequent lifting of <40lbs. Movement between points within the same office or between buildings. Work is performed in generally consistent environmental conditions with some seasonality for temperature differences and lighting.
