Senior Grants Accountant at Beacon Hill Staffing Group, LLC in Washington, Washington DC

Job Description:

Beacon Hill Financial has partnered with a locally based non-profit organization in the search for their next Senior Grants Accountant. This role will require someone who is well versed in the month end close process and who is comfortable preforming reconciliations concerning grants. This is a hybrid job that is onsite multiple days a week. If interested, please do not hesitate to apply with your most up to date resume.


Job Responsibilities

• Assess transactions to ensure adherence to relevant grant and contract requirements.


• Generate journal entries related to revenue, including billed and unbilled receivables, as well as deferred revenue.


• Record journal entries for the scheduled release of restrictions.


• Process reclassification journal entries as necessary.


• Prepare journal entries to accurately recognize revenue.


• Identify the appropriate accounting treatment and entries for net assets released from restrictions as part of the monthly close process.


• Issue invoices to donors and monitor their progress.
