Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Physical Therapy; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in providing physical therapy treatments; may require orthopedic experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience; and possession of a valid State of Michigan Physical Therapy license.

Summary of Physical DemandsThe job requires significant physical effort and involves performing stretching/resistance exercises for patients, lifting patients from wheel chairs, moving equipment and demonstrating exercises 26 to 75% of the time.
Summary of Health RisksExposure to human blood, serum, and other body fluids; and materials covered under Universal Precautions; TB risk or work within three (3) feet of patients in a health care setting; wear a respirator.
