Weapons Systems Software Engineer




Manassas, VA




Contract Position




$42.88-$47.88/Hour



Software Engineer, Common Weapon Launcher job in Manassas, Virginia is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Maritime Defense company. In this job you will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for designing and developing software supporting the U.S. Navy's platforms within the Tactical.



Responsibilities:

• Develop and support software solutions for U.S. Navy platforms, contributing to mission-critical defense technologies.
  
  


• Design and develop software supporting the Navy's Tactical systems, including Common Weapon Launcher (CWL) and Multi-Tube Weapon Simulator (MTWS).


• Apply software engineering principles and Agile methodologies throughout the development lifecycle.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets operational and security requirements.


• Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize software performance.


• Maintain and update documentation for software systems.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain U.S. Department of Defense Secret security clearance


• Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, or STEM and 2+ years of experience or a Master's degree


• Experience with Java


• Experience with C/C++


• Experience with Linux and Bash


• Experience with React and Typescript


• Agile experience preferred
