Assembler

Contract Position




$28.00/Hour

Responsibilities:

• 
  Assemble and modify RF microwave hybrid modules and sub-assemblies with mid-to-high complexity.


• 
  Install connectors, substrates, and components in microwave assemblies using paste and sheet epoxies.


• 
  Perform rework and repair operations on pre-production subassemblies and integrated circuit-based systems.


• 
  Isolate and troubleshoot issues in rejected units based on test failure reports.


• 
  Use precision measurement equipment (e.g., reticle, drop indicator) to verify unit specifications.


• 
  Collaborate with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering to develop procedures and ensure products meet specifications.


• 
  Work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to quality and production schedules.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: High School Diploma required.


• 
  Clearance: Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance.


• 
  Experience:
  
  
  
  • Prior experience in electronics/microelectronics assembly.
  
  
  • Proficiency in microscope-based assembly and using hand tools (e.g., torque drivers, tweezers).
  
  
  • Ability to read and interpret process sheets, drawings, and work instructions.
  
  
  • Comfortable working 10-hour shifts under a microscope with strong hand-eye coordination.
  
  
  • Basic computer skills for accessing work instructions and job-related documentation.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • Experience in an ESD and FOD-controlled environment.
  
  
  • Knowledge of mechanical assembly processes for small electronic devices.
  
  
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100 standards in military product manufacturing.
  
  
  • Experience soldering to J-STD-001 standards.
