Pay Range Information:

Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidate's qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.


Job Description Summary:

We have an opportunity for a front-facing reception area of a high volume testing center, where we proctor exams for students with testing related accommodations under the Americans with Disabilities Act. This position will assist with coordinating the testing services offered by the Disability Services department.


Responsibilities:



  • Receive students

  • Assist students using our online system

  • Booking testing room space

  • Monitoring test takers

  • Keeping accurate records/statistical data

  • Ensuring test security and integrity

  • Comply with faculty instructions and approved ADA accommodations.

  • Serve as backup to other support positions in the office.





Required Qualifications:



  • Strong time management skills, with demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and perform in a timely and efficient manner

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact diplomatically with a diverse group of individuals at all organizational levels

  • Writing skills to prepare clear, concise & grammatically correct correspondence

  • Professional demeanor and the ability to work with other departments while maintaining a high level of confidentiality

  • An ethical commitment to the confidentiality of sensitive documents

  • Ability and diplomacy skills to consult with students and faculty regarding educational and security issues associated with testing

  • Attention to detail in a high paced environment

  • Technical skills to learn and use enterprise systems required for this position


Desired Qualifications:



  • A Bachelor's degree or significant college education

  • Experience working in higher education

  • Knowledge of Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act
