The Process Engineer will focus on researching, developing, and implementing cutting-edge processes and software to enhance efficiency, productivity, safety, and sustainability within Construction Services. This role will also integrate Virtual Design & Construction (VDC), prefabrication, estimating, purchasing, and quality control workflows to improve operational efficiency. Leveraging data analytics, the role will drive cost comparisons and ROI evaluations to support continuous improvements.
Research, Development & Education:
Conduct extensive research on emerging technologies, software applications and innovative methodologies relevant to our scope of work.
Identify opportunities for the integration of refined processes that align with company goals.
Oversee R&D projects from conception through implementation, ensuring they meet timelines, budgets, and performance metrics.
Learn the electrical manufacturing industry, terms, and deliverables while staying informed of industry trends and best practices to continually refine and improve processes.
Leverage learning opportunities to utilize and leverage automation, Power Automate, BI, AI
Evaluate prefabrication technologies and workflow automation to streamline production and material handling processes.Implementation:
Recommend and implement new workflows to enhance efficiency from design through field installation.
Assist with facility layouts, material and product movement
Ensure implemented processes meet expectations, ROI, safety and productivity goals
Identify and communicate early when intended outcome is less than expected
Analyze costs and collect and analyze data and present to teams
Ensure processes meet or exceed quality control and safety standards
Lead initiatives in digital, automated and software adjustments and advancements
Lead initiatives in digital, automation, and software advancement to improve production and construction efficiency
Optimize the use of raw materials, tooling, and consumables, reducing waste and in efficiencies
Work closely with cross-functional teams, including project managers, design engineers, prefabrication teams, purchasing, and construction field teams to assess workflows and identify areas for improvement
Promote open and constructive communication between prefabrication, VDC, estimating, and field installation teams
