The Content Studio team at Meta is actively searching for a Social Media Manager to oversee the strategy, management, and daily operations of our AI at Meta and Engineering at Meta social brands-including, but not limited, to announcement and campaign support, evergreen content ideation and creation, community management, reporting, and outbound engagement. This person will work closely with cross-functional partners in Communications, Marketing, Product, Engineering, Infra, Research, and more.The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of social media platforms and emerging social trends. They should have confidence and experience communicating directly with technical audiences inclusive of researchers, engineers, developers, academics, and other subject matter experts. Spanning across our owned social channels (including, but not limited to, Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, Threads) as well as community platforms like Reddit and Hacker News, they'll create original content and engage in conversations that further Meta's innovation narrative, collectively help to move the industry forward, and showcase why Meta is an industry leader and the best place for top-tier technical talent to do the most meaningful work of their careers.
Social Media Manager, Technology Responsibilities:
Partner with cross-functional teams to develop innovative and differentiated social content (e.g. AI Research, Product Marketing, Content Creation, Brand Strategy, and Communications)
Create platform-specific strategies and content that balance Meta's unique brand with the demands of highly specific audiences
Lead daily engagement across social channels, working with a dedicated community manager
Actively seek out new storytelling opportunities and provide input on new ways to improve engagement and growth across platforms
Engage regularly with AI researchers, hardware and software engineers, and executives to extend the impact of their work
Identify and implement social processes to drive efficiencies and best-in-class work
Analyze performance of owned social channels to measure the effectiveness of our efforts and use learnings to enhance future content executions
Implement listening strategies to surface new industry insights and enable our internal teams to execute in the right spaces at the right time
Develop relationships with internal and external partners to enhance our capacity to tell stories that break through beyond Meta
Minimum Qualifications:
7+ years of experience managing owned social channels
Experience creating and successfully executing social media strategies that have driven brand engagement and growth
Proven record of implementing novel solutions and innovation in social media content and strategies that have driven engagement
Proven experience to translate dense, complex source material into clear, accessible prose for targeted technical and non-technical audiences
Proven experience managing complex projects from conception through launch, taking in (sometimes conflicting) feedback, and incorporating it as appropriate
Proven experience to work autonomously and as part of highly cross-functional team
Demonstrated experience in and understanding of technical audiences in the social and community space
Experience managing an editorial calendar with multiple stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry or technical experience
Experience in highly technical product categories and brands such as developer tooling, engineering or AI
Experience working for a global consumer technology company/brand and/or R1 research institution

$145,000/year to $204,000/year + bonus + equity + benefits
