Summary:
As a Sr. Sytems Technician -Commercial Install, you'll be tasked with installing more complex security systems in commercial customer settings. You'll work closely with our outside sales team to ensure our customers receive the highest level of professional care from start to finish. Our goal is to give each customer a personalized experience tailored to their specific needs, and you'll play an important part in that experience.
What You'll Do:
Installation of commercial solutions including wired and wireless systems.
Actively participates in company initiatives such as securing new referrals and upselling, while providing exceptional customer service.
Install, program, and configure commercial electronic security and fire alarm systems for commercial clients. Some examples of this include:
Door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, low voltage communication, electronic locks, signaling devices, etc.
Troubleshoot new installations to ensure the systems are functioning properly and satisfy codes.
Troubleshoot and diagnose existing fire alarm systems as needed.
Drive to client sites, with a company issued vehicle, to perform the system installation and confirm the system is operating effectively and meets contract requirements.
Run low voltage electrical wiring; related activities to include drilling, conduit installation, etc.
Responsible for the connection of control panels, application requirements, wire concealment and security software installation.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems, programs, schematics, and operation/product manuals.
Perform inspections and service on electronic fire systems.
What You'll Need:
HS Diploma
Minimum of 2-Years: Life safety and home automation equipment experience
3-5 - Years: Field experience or equivalent education or certification
Valid Driver's License
Commercial Minded
Access Control & CCTV experience
NICET I - Preferred
Possess strong technical aptitude and effective interpersonal skills
Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Must be detail-oriented and organized
Proficient in company skills and best practices. (Safety, use of equipment, etc.)
Requires minimal supervision
Able to demonstrate proficient understanding of the hardware and panel wiring of the primary manufacturers used by their home branch. This includes:
Residential and Commercial Security; Commercial Fire Alarm Systems and Evac; Analog and IP Video products and systems; and basic Access Control products and systems.
Experience with any or all the following preferred: Alarm.com, DSC, Speco, Hanwha, Digital Watchdog, Brivo, Vista Burg/Fire, Axis, Bosch, DMP, Notifier, Silent Knight, Firelight.
