Purpose: The Commercial Real Estate Portfolio Manager will be assigned a portfolio of Commercial Real Estate loans & relationships for which the Portfolio Manager (PM) will be responsible in assisting the respective Relationship Managers with the fundamental aspects of client servicing and relationship management.
Essential Functions:
Work with Commercial Banking Assistant’s and Relationship Managers to resolve daily overdrafts.
Manage and oversee credit quality and the performance of their assigned commercial real estate loan portfolio
Work effectively with the loan administration team, loan operations, deposit, treasury management, credit department in connection with Commercial Real Estate underwriting, and other internal teams to accomplish various tasks.
Communicate directly and effectively with client’s administrative and financial teams.
Attend client calls with Relationship Manager’s and other Relationship team members.
Monitor relationship annual review schedules for coordination of timely completion with credit department and other groups as required.
Monitor upcoming loan and line maturities for proactive and early resolution, including renewals, extensions, or pay offs.
Coordinate the request for and submission of periodic client financial reporting for the purpose of completing annual reviews, covenant testing, and preparedness for potential new loan requests.
Assist in loan closing process as directed, although this activity is primarily the responsibility of loan administration.
May be expected to coordinate construction loan closing and advance process with the construction loan administration group.
May be expected to interact with commercial deposit specialists and treasury management sales in order to initiate, expand, and manage CRE deposit relationships.
May be expected to perform annual site inspections on stabilized properties in coordination with Relation Managers and Commercial Banking Assistant’s.
Perform ad hoc tasks for portfolio monitoring and management as assigned.

Job Related Qualifications:
Required:
• Education: Bachelor’s Degree
• Prior Experience: 3+ years of financial analysis or credit analysis in Financial Services
• Licenses or Accreditation: NA

Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office with ability to learn and utilize new and existing banking software applications, excellent Excel knowledge manipulating multiple reports
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and all levels of bank employees
Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise sound business judgment
Possess knowledge of credit policy and procedures, basic accounting, and analyzing financial statements
Ability to manage multiple priorities while at the same time providing exceptional customer service to both internal and external customers
Understand real estate market and credit underwriting metrics
Strong organization and multi-tasking skills to effectively perform day to day activities
Physical Requirements:
Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, across footprint)
Able to regularly sit for prolonged periods of time.
Able to regularly stand for prolonged periods of time.
Able to travel:
Occasionally across Five Star Bank footprint
Extensive computer usage is required.
