Job Summary:
We are seeking a Modular Analyst to join our Category Leadership team. The Modular Analyst will partner with the Category Advisor to be a strategic partner to Walmart merchants. This role is critical in leading merchandising strategy development and modular relay execution for assigned Walmart category. Additionally, the Modular Analyst supports category reporting, ad hoc analytics, and insights development as necessary.
Responsibilities:
Act as subject matter expert on Modular Center of Excellence, (MCOE), capabilities, modular relay playbook, DC realignment, and ongoing project store updates.
Conduct assortment and space analytics at DC/Store/item levels to drive optimization recommendations to merchants.
Lead and manage modular relay execution through the development of multiple versions of planograms based on merchant-aligned assortment, clustering, and fixture variations. Regularly assess and communicate progress and/or support needs for successful project completion.
Review and validate all planograms for adherence to strategy and conformity to MCOE standards; apply revisions as needed.
Own management of ongoing trait maintenance and DC realignments.
Maintain a robust database environment to include store/item attribution, performance data uploads, and ongoing project store creation.
Conduct ad-hoc analytics to answer business management questions.
Provide support for business reviews, insights development, weekly reporting, and other special projects as needed.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: 2+ years of experience in Category Management, Sales, Shopper Insights, Analytics, Retail Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Foundational Skills: Ability to manage projects, work independently and within a team to deliver time-bound projects. Proven problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Aptitude to develop business and category knowledge, conduct data analytics, and manage complex data sets.
Technical Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Experience using Blue Yonder (JDA) Space Management is a plus. Understanding of Walmart end-to-end modular relay development process helpful.
Limited travel may be required.
