About the Role
NVC is seeking to a positive, team-oriented Executive Assistant to provide scheduling, travel, and relationship support to its executives, manage office responsibilities, and support other firmwide initiatives and events. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast paced, high-energy, professional, and collaborative work environment. This role requires the ability to juggle competing responsibilities while understanding how to prioritize. A proactive and growth mindset is essential, as we seek someone who's eager to contribute to the firm's and team's success to evolve with the firm. This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and provides support to CFO and one Partner.
Location: Burlingame, CA (in office 3+ days a week)
Contract basis: 40 hours per week (no health benefits provided)
Contract period: May to September 2025
Compensation: $50-$80 per hour
Role & Responsibilities:
Manage multiple high-volume calendars with proper prioritization and thorough follow through
Coordinate internal and external meetings including portfolio company meetings, both domestic and international travel, and logistical arrangements
Track and complete expense reports and reimbursements timely
Provide coverage to other members of the support staff during their PTO
Ensure the office is well-maintained and organized to create a productive environment
Arrange and coordinate office events (internal/external)
Ensure the successful execution of special requests from the firm leadership
Candidate Qualifications:
Skills and Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent preferred
Professional career EA with recent 3+ years' experience in a venture or corporate environment as an Executive Assistant
C-Level support experience preferred
Professional written and oral communication skills
Track record of strong organizational and time management skills - ability to prioritize effectively
Ability to interact with high-level executives, service providers, and vendors with confidence
Utilize mainstream technology applications and tools with mastery
Strong online research skills and technology savvy
Highly proficient with Microsoft applications, Google Suite, Box, CRM applications, and other general software tools such as DocuSign, Expensify, Zoom, Adobe, and others
