Seeking a Senior Associate Portfolio Manager for our client - a large SEC registered Investment Advisor.
You will be currently working in a Senior Investments type role or are currently working in a buy side firm and you want to quickly transition into a Portfolio Manager role
Your role will be to provide high level support for ultra-high net worth and institutional clients, you will have a strong foundation in investment concepts, be able to present investment ideas to both clients and the portfolio managers you work with.
Your role:
Assist in constructing and managing investment portfolios based on client objectives and risk tolerance.
Monitor asset allocations, investment performance, and market trends.
Rebalance portfolios as needed to maintain strategic targets.
Conduct research on equities, fixed income, alternative investments, and other asset classes.
Analyze economic indicators, market conditions, and investment opportunities.
Support decision-making by preparing reports and recommendations for senior portfolio managers.
Monitor portfolios for adherence to investment policies, risk limits, and regulatory requirements.
Identify potential risks in investment strategies and suggest mitigation approaches.
Assist in client meetings, providing portfolio insights and answering inquiries.
Prepare performance reports and customized investment presentations.
Address client requests related to account changes, trade execution, or portfolio adjustments.
Support trade execution across various asset classes as directed by the portfolio manager.
Qualifications:
10+ years work experience in financial services focusing on investments (private banking, buy-side analyst, client services, investment adviser or related role).
An undergraduate degree in business, finance, accounting or related degree required.
Proficiency in Bloomberg, Excel, financial modeling, and portfolio management software
Strong knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
Superb organizational, project management and interpersonal skills.
Extreme attention to detail.
Excellent communication and presentation skills
CFA, or progress toward certifications is a plus
Spanish language skills are advantageous but not required
