In this role, you'll oversee the organization's credit risk management efforts, ensuring alignment with lending goals and risk appetite. You'll be responsible for creating and enforcing credit policies, analyzing market conditions, and conducting detailed credit assessments to safeguard the loan portfolio. Collaboration with internal departments and external partners will be key to ensuring strategic and compliant credit operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop credit policies and procedures that reflect the organization's risk appetite and growth objectives.
Analyze market trends, economic factors, and industry conditions to identify credit risks and opportunities.
Partner with leadership to set credit limits, guidelines, and performance metrics.
Lead credit assessments and underwriting processes to evaluate loan applications and ensure policy compliance.
Monitor credit portfolio performance, including delinquency rates and other key indicators.
Provide guidance to sales and relationship management teams on structuring loan proposals.
Manage daily credit operations, ensuring efficiency and timely loan decision-making.
Supervise a team of Senior Credit Analysts and Corporate Banking Analysts.
Participate in regulatory, audit, and compliance-related activities to maintain high standards.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field (MBA preferred).
8+ years of experience in credit risk management, with leadership exposure.
Strong skills in credit analysis, risk assessment methodologies, and regulatory compliance.
Proven ability to lead teams, drive initiatives, and make data-driven decisions.
Proficiency in financial software tools (e.g., Moody's, Encompass, Jack Henry).
Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
