Stress Analysis Engineer - Sr Advanced Mech Design
Hybrid Role: 3 days onsite at AZ43 and 2 days remote / Day Shift
Must Have requirements: • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering. • Minimum of 5 years of experience performing structural analysis on gas turbine engines and/or other structural, load bearing components and systems. • Proficiency in linear static, nonlinear/elasto-plastic, fatigue (HCF & LCF), modal, shock, harmonic, random vibration, & crack growth analyses. • Strong working knowledge of ANSYS finite element software & classical hand calculation methods • 5 full years of experience conducting stress analysis via classic hand calculation and ANSYS workbench FEA for Aerospace or Space industries. • Fully trained in GD&T & capable to use it to review blueprints and inspection reports.
Description: • The Engine Components and Systems Analysis (ESCA) is responsible for the design, development and analysis of gas turbine engine components for propulsion engines and APUs. • The successful applicant will be responsible for stress, vibration, and heat transfer analyses. • Responsibilities include providing technical expertise on a variety of projects and programs. • You will use your expert knowledge of engineering discipline and standards, processes and tools to ensure compliance to customer and program requirements. • Other responsibilities include communicating with Project engineering teams, conduction of design reviews, presentations to internal and external customers and contributing to department process improvement initiatives.
