Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team in Oak Brook, IL. This role is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of quality in our precision machining operations for aerospace and defense. If you have a passion for quality assurance and a strong background in GD&T, SPC, and APQP, this role could be a strong fit.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement quality management systems in accordance with AS9100 standards.
  • Utilize GD&T principles to ensure product specifications are met accurately.
  • Conduct statistical process control (SPC) analyses to monitor and improve manufacturing processes.
  • Lead root cause analysis initiatives using the 5 Why method to identify and resolve quality issues.
  • Oversee Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities to ensure product quality throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Perform tolerance analysis to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Review and interpret blueprints to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality standards and best practices.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical field OR ASQ / Six Sigma Black Belt certifications
  • Proven experience in quality management within the precision machining or aerospace industry.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T, SPC, APQP, and tolerance analysis.
  • Experience with AS9100 or automotive quality management systems preferred
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
