The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible to provide technical leadership in machine design, process and operational efficiency for high speed aseptic filling and packaging technologies. The incumbent optimizes equipment layout, providing subject-matter-expertise for new product or process technology while ensuring cGMP compliant manufacturing.
Responsibilities
Provide on-going technical support for manufacturing operations after project installation.
Drive technical advancement, solving problems and unique challenges.
Contract specialty vendors, actively partnering with vendors to implement design specifications, install and or refurbish manufacturing and packaging technologies.
Identify and implement shop-floor continuous improvement (CI) projects.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives (OEE, CI, Lean implementation) across the manufacturing function
Optimize equipment and process functionality
Drives cGMP compliant equipment design, will alter existing design using AutoCAD™
Implement control systems, PLC programming of highly automated manufacturing technologies
Requirements
B.S. Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical preferred). Equivalent related work experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
Three - Five years of applicable engineering experience including integrating high speed automated equipment.
Experience in the design, maintenance, installation, validation, and repair of pharmaceutical industry high-speed aseptic filling (manufacturing) technologies.
Strong project management skills, interpersonal, and communication (technical writing and presentation) skills.
Additional Information
Salary Range is $75,000 - $95,000
