We are looking for an Industrial Engineer with a background in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering to join a growing manufacturer in Northwestern Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, revise, and maintain technical diagrams, AutoCAD drawings, work instructions, and operator/service manuals to support manufacturing operations.
  • Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on eliminating waste and enhancing cell efficiency.
  • Take ownership of plant layout design, ensuring optimal workflow and resource utilization across the manufacturing floor.
  • Apply 5S principles to enhance workplace organization, safety, and productivity.
  • Collaborate with continuous improvement teams to analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost-effective improvements.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain process improvement strategies to ensure operations align with our commitment to operational excellence.
  • Monitor production processes and work with teams to address issues related to efficiency, quality, and safety.
  • Provide support and training to employees on new processes, technologies, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical manufacturing or assembly operations.
  • Experience AutoCAD or other relevant design software for creating technical diagrams and layouts.
  • Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, including process improvement, plant layout design, and waste elimination.
  • Experience leading Kaizen events and utilizing continuous improvement methodologies preferred (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
  • Familiarity with 5S principles and applying them to optimize workplace organization and safety.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration and driving results.
