We are looking for an Industrial Engineer with a background in Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering to join a growing manufacturer in Northwestern Ohio. Key Responsibilities:
Design, revise, and maintain technical diagrams, AutoCAD drawings, work instructions, and operator/service manuals to support manufacturing operations.
Lead and facilitate Kaizen events to drive continuous improvement initiatives, focusing on eliminating waste and enhancing cell efficiency.
Take ownership of plant layout design, ensuring optimal workflow and resource utilization across the manufacturing floor.
Apply 5S principles to enhance workplace organization, safety, and productivity.
Collaborate with continuous improvement teams to analyze manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for cost-effective improvements.
Develop, implement, and maintain process improvement strategies to ensure operations align with our commitment to operational excellence.
Monitor production processes and work with teams to address issues related to efficiency, quality, and safety.
Provide support and training to employees on new processes, technologies, and best practices.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or or equivalent experience.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in medical manufacturing or assembly operations.
Experience AutoCAD or other relevant design software for creating technical diagrams and layouts.
Strong knowledge of industrial engineering principles, including process improvement, plant layout design, and waste elimination.
Experience leading Kaizen events and utilizing continuous improvement methodologies preferred (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.).
Familiarity with 5S principles and applying them to optimize workplace organization and safety.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities, with a focus on collaboration and driving results.
