STEM Degree Experience running environmental testing on the physical equipment
Experience with fluid flow/pressure drop principals, rotating machinery, and thermodynamics principals
Experience with Fluids like; Nitrogen, helium, water, chilled water systems
Experience with Equipment like; pumps, chillers, heat exchangers
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
2+ years of experience as a lead or supervisor responsible for operation and/or maintenance in a facility with pumps, compressors, valves, and instrumentation.
2 or more years of experience operating with cryogenic systems Outstanding communication skills including the ability to communicate with a diverse audience
Proficient capability with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Adjudicated Counter Intelligence scope polygraph completed within the last 5 years
A current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program is desired.
Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Test Engineer in El Segundo, CA for a large aerospace client. This role involves ensuring the safe operation of a test facility with pumps, compressors, valves, instrumentation, and other equipment operating at various temperatures and pressures. Multiple engineers are needed to support 24/7 operations. Responsibilities include directing and coordinating all facility activities during the shift for safe and efficient operations and maintenance. The engineer will plan and execute testing, control and monitor facility equipment and data, and direct technicians and other personnel. They will also develop modifications to shift activities and schedules, analyze facility performance, and develop troubleshooting plans. The role involves creating and maintaining documentation for regulatory requirements, developing operating and maintenance procedures, and coordinating with outside vendors and other personnel. The engineer will prepare shift documentation, ensure smooth shift turnover, perform equipment surveillance, operate valves, and move lightweight supplies and equipment. The position requires minimal supervision, attention to detail, good organization and communication skills, and basic proficiency with Microsoft Office.
