The QHSE Director is responsible for leading the company?s Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) strategy, ensuring a safe and compliant work environment. This role involves developing policies, ensuring regulatory compliance, and promoting continuous improvement across all operations. The QHSE Director will report to the Chief Operating Officer and collaborate with leadership and teams to drive safety, quality, and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and promote a company-wide safety culture through strategic direction and QHSE initiatives.
Develop and implement QHSE policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
Conduct risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and improve practices.
Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
Maintain QHSE documentation and ensure compliance and traceability.
Collaborate with leadership to integrate QHSE best practices into business operations.
Oversee safety tools and personal protective equipment (PPE) use and maintenance.
Ensure environmental compliance and drive sustainability efforts.
Lead teams in the adoption of new QHSE technologies and practices.
Foster accountability and transparency in QHSE across all departments.
Act as the primary liaison for regulatory agencies and auditors.
Lead emergency response planning and drills.
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field.
8-10 years of senior QHSE leadership experience.
In-depth knowledge of QHSE regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Strong strategic, analytical, and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and training abilities.
Proficiency in MS Office and QHSE software systems.
Certification in NEBOSH, IOSH, or similar qualifications preferred.
Ability to work independently and lead teams in a fast-paced environment.
