Position: Director of IT
Location: Lenexa, KS
Salary Range: $100,000 - $115,000 total compensation
What you'll do:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute the company's IT strategy to support business growth and operational efficiency.
Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology with business goals.
Evaluate emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
IT Operations & Infrastructure
Oversee IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, cloud environments, and enterprise systems.
Ensure high availability, performance, and scalability of IT systems.
Work closely with franchisor to build highly scalable enterprise architecture
Manage IT vendors and service providers to optimize performance and cost.
Security & Compliance
Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices to protect company data and assets.
Lead incident response including escalations and remediation
Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. (ISO27001, SSAE18 SOC)
Team Management & Development
Build and lead a high-performing IT team, including hiring, mentoring, and professional development.
Establish clear goals and performance metrics for the IT department.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation.
Project & Budget Management
Oversee IT projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious execution.
Manage IT budgets and optimize cost efficiency while delivering business value.
Develop policies and procedures to enhance IT governance and operational effectiveness.
What You'll Need:
Required Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
8+ years of IT experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
Proven experience managing enterprise IT infrastructure and cloud environments.
Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, IT governance, and compliance.
Hands-on experience with ERP, CRM, and enterprise applications.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Business and/or technology degree with a technology focus.
Certifications such as CISSP, ITIL, PMP, or AWS/Azure Cloud Certifications.
