Overall Summary:
We are currently seeking an In-Store Marketing Designer to join our dynamic team in Englewood Cliffs, NJ as part of the HSAD Marketing organization! The designer communicates with his/her supervisors constantly to see that quality objectives are fulfilled, assists with and accepts tasks delegated by the Project Manager. The purpose of the ISM Team 3D Designer is to develop and execute visualizations of everything related to in-store marketing across all channel and BUs.
We are currently looking for a designer with experience in retail, specifically retail appliance design, with a background in spatial design. We are looking for detail-oriented individuals with strong design skills, hands-on experience, and a portfolio to prove it.
Objectives of this role and Scope of work
- Design visual concepts using appropriate 3D programs, AutoCAD and graphic software.
- Integrate client branding marketing, product features, display effects and visual strategies into the design to complete design projects within specified budget and deadline.
- Communicating design concepts and proposals to relevant stakeholders.
- Work with internal members to ensure cohesive deliverables, managing time across multiple projects and keeping stakeholders updated on progress.
- Consistently provides creative solutions to visually-based problems or requirements.
- Participate in critiques, take direction and clearly communicate with the team and management.
- Brand space and fixtures design work by 3D/2D tools involves a variety of projects, so they must have the ability to manage multiple projects.
- Must have clear understanding of space. Experience in spatial projects and understanding of fixtures or relevant experience is a must.
- A strong understanding of the process and details involved in creating fixtures and furniture is required, along with the ability to communicate effectively with external vendors.
- More importantly, your ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively visually to ultimately change your mind.
Qualifications and Required skills
- Bachelor's or Associate's degree in an art-related field 2 years of experience in a design role
- More than 4 years of work experience in related field (Interior / VMD / Exhibition)
- Provide a high-quality portfolio of professional work and project samples including specific tasks you held responsible or your contributions numerically.
- Proficiency with basic design concepts and visual principles.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling tools such as Rhino and Sketchup, as well as rendering, for excellent design work.
- Strong millwork design and drafting skills (Auto CAD) are required.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
- Ability to think critically, communicate effectively and produce work within deadlines.
- Knowledge for Furniture and Point of Purchase (POP) Production is needed
- Prior experience in a design agency is preferred
- Knowledge of US retail account channels are highly preferred
