Summary:
Rails, a leading contemporary apparel and lifestyle brand, is seeking a Men's Product Development Coordinator to add to its growing team! This person will report to the Senior Director of Product Development.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with day-to-day communication with design and other internal cross functional partners:
Obtain design approvals and update trackers
Organize submits into binder for all teams to access
Organize design and storage areas
Aid in daily communication to vendors and suppliers for:
Hand loom, strike off, lab dip requests and mock ups
Proto requests
SSY requests
SMS requests
Maintain all vendors/suppliers on calendar deadlines to meet Rails milestones
Help build and maintain Shared Drive and tracker information:
Create trackers at beginning of every season
Follow up with vendors/suppliers on requests readiness and ensure they meet Rails' deadlines
Maintain trackers, tech packs, cost sheets, FSS, cost sheets, SMS packing lists, development and SMS invoices, etc. in Shared Drive
Gather vendor information needed for style guide:
Care instructions
Fabric lead times
Cost
Categories/class
Help update style guide with SMS readiness
Gather all information needed for production hand off:
Create BOMs
Organize hand off binders/bins
Tech set
Keep track of shipments for design and PD
Additional responsibilities as required
Requirements:
2-4 years of practical work and experience in apparel product development, preferably in the contemporary space. Should have experience working with overseas and domestic vendors.
Experience in and knowledge of fabric and garment construction
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and advanced Excel skill level
Ability to efficiently prioritize a demanding workload
Extremely strong attention to detail, organization, and commitment to ensuring overall accuracy
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to work onsite at our Los Angeles office 4 days per week
