A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT INCLUDE: Planning, directing, and coordinating civil/structural engineering design activities for the construction of electric transmission line facilities for one of our clients Performing civil/structural engineering analyses for transmission facilities Coordinating project schedules and budgets Supporting the development of contracts, technical specifications, and drawing bid packages for potential clients Meeting with a client to maintain our outstanding company-client relationships and expanding company relationships to other utilities and consultancies. Providing technical assistance and training for entry level engineers Interacting with staff, the general public, officials and contractors Preparing proposals and identifying future projects to bid on WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: Bachelors Degree in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School 8+ years of experience in transmission utility work Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in distribution design a plus High ethical and professional standards Proficiency in PLS-CADD required PE license is required PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS OF ROLE*: The job does require the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation, as well as attend occasional client meetings and site visits.
