A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT INCLUDE: Preparing and reviewing working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and work products. Performing independent design tasks and organizing drawings (under supervision, of course). Using prescribed methods to perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments. Coordinating with the work of others who are assisting in any delegated assignments. Collaborating with diverse teams, both with peers and senior leadership. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: Bachelors Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer- in-Training (EIT) certification (or the ability to obtain in one year of joining) 0-2 years of experience in utility work is preferred Exceptional organization and attention to detail Top notch collaboration skills as a part of a project team A growth mindset that includes a desire, aptitude, and motivation to learn and apply new skills and concepts Previous internship experience with a related industry is strongly preferred, but not required PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS OF ROLE*: The job does require the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation, as well as attend occasional client meetings and site visits.
