A DAY IN THE LIFE MIGHT INCLUDE: Preparing and reviewing working drawings, details, layouts, surveys, estimates, and work products. Performing independent design tasks and organizing drawings while receiving supervision. Using prescribed methods, performing specific and limited portions of broader assignments of experienced level person. Coordinating with the work of others who assist in specific assignments. Exercising initiative, judgment and knowledge as required in areas of responsibility. WHAT YOU NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE: Bachelors Degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. Accredited School 2-4 years of experience in utility work preferred Excellent oral and written communication skills Exceptional organization and attention to detail Ability to effectively participate as part of a project team Desire, aptitude, and motivation to learn and apply new concepts Fundamentals of Engineering / Engineer- in-Training (EIT) certification is required (or the ability to obtain in one year of joining).
