They will actively contribute to ESNs mission while upholding the schools Portrait of a Graduate values: Respectful, Responsible, Creative, Inclusive, Critical Thinkers, and Lifelong Learners.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesStudent Supervision & Safety:Supervise students during the aftercare program to ensure a safe, structured environment.Monitor indoor and outdoor play, promoting respectful and inclusive behavior.Maintain accurate attendance records and ensure proper student pickup procedures.Engagement & Enrichment:Lead and participate in creative, age-appropriate activities including games, arts and crafts, and recreational play.Assist students with homework and provide quiet academic support as needed.Offer opportunities for students to explore interests in a relaxed, after-school setting.Collaboration & Communication:Collaborate with lead teachers, administrators, and fellow staff to ensure consistency in student expectations and experiences.Maintain open and friendly communication with families during student pickup, providing brief updates when needed.Participate in aftercare team meetings and trainings to continuously improve program quality.Environment & Behavior Management:Foster a positive and inclusive aftercare culture that supports students social and emotional growth.Support behavior management using school-wide expectations and positive reinforcement strategies.Maintain clean and organized aftercare spaces before, during, and after activities.Qualifications & SkillsMinimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a school, camp, or similar setting.Reliable, responsible, and able to follow schedules and procedures consistently.Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills.Ability to multitask and manage small groups of children independently.Culturally competent with a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.High school diploma required; Associates or Bachelors degree in education or child development preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and engage with students for extended periods.Capability to lift/move up to 25 pounds occasionally.Comfort supervising outdoor play and physical activities in various weather conditions.Additional InformationThis is a part-time position reporting to the Director of Student and Faculty Success. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM 5:30 PM (approximately 12.5 hours per week).
