To be successful in this position applicant must: have great communication skills, be comfortable working with power tools and climbing ladders, be able to comfortably lift over 50 lbs, have the skills to safely extract donations from homes and businesses and lead a team. We are looking for someone who can give us at least a ONE YEAR commitment.
Reporting directly to the ReStore Donations & Deconstruction Manager. The Donation & Deconstruction Supervisor (Supervisor) will perform a variety of tasks mainly focused on Deconstruction. The Supervisor will direct the Deconstruction Associate (s) and volunteers as well as work alongside with them in the extraction of usable items from homes and businesses that can be reused in the community. The Supervisor will also provide Truck assistance for donation pick-ups and ReStore assistance when needed, including but not limited to commercial and residential pick-ups, jobsite appliance delivery, cashier, stocking, and minor maintenance on department trucks, drive forklift, box trucks, and flatbed truck.
KNOW HOW:
Committed to the mission of AAHH the incumbent should have at least one year of experience and a working knowledge of home deconstruction, jobsite safety, building maintenance, property maintenance and the ability to interface successfully with people.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
With the direction of the Deconstruction Manager, the Supervisor will direct and work alongside local Contractors and Volunteers. Leading a skilled team in the extraction of donations from homes and businesses which includes removal of doors, cabinets, countertops, fixtures, lights, fans, etc.
Make sure Volunteers have an enjoyable service day during the process.
Assure that all work is performed in a safe manner, in accordance with the AAHH safety policy and so that the safety of AAHH customers, employees, volunteers and other third parties is of primary importance.
Assist with recruiting new volunteers for AAHH Deconstruction Program.
Assist with the Manager with all paperwork involved in the Deconstruction program including job quotes, scopes of work and itemized receipts.
Assist the Manager with soliciting and maintaining relations with contractors, private homeowners, and businesses to increase the number of Deconstruction jobs being performed by the affiliate.
Be responsible for collecting and processing payment for completed work when the Deconstruction Manager is not available to do so.
Assist with driving, loading, and unloading trucks to and from Jobsites.
Make necessary space on ReStore sales floors for incoming projects and assist with
set up and pricing of listed extracted items.
Perform other duties as may be assigned including serving on a donation truck as needed.
Maintain a clean driving record.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be familiar with proper use of power tools, comfortable on a ladder and able to lift 50+ pounds safely.
Must have some experience around plumbing and electrical.
Ability to work with staff and volunteers towards the achievement of department and ReStore goals.
Ability to exhibit emotional intelligence, patience and flexibility.
OSHA compliance and forklift training and experience preferred.
Current CPR and first aid experience a plus.
Experienced driving large trucks or box trucks within busy city and county roads preferred.
WORK ENVIROMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Stand or walk on concrete flooring for prolonged time periods.
Apply extensive physical mobility, including reaching, lifting, holding, pushing and pulling, carrying, bending, climbing stairs and ladders, crawling, kneeling, arm and leg extension.
Walk and climb on uneven surfaces, ladders, and stairs.
Independently operate motor vehicles

Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 to 5:00pm (some Mondays depending on projects); pay rate range $22 - 25/hr.
