We leverage existing Walmart assets and build new capabilities to better serve organizational buyers. We're bringing together the Every Day Low Prices, assortment, omnichannel capabilities, and store footprint of Walmart with new experiences and functionality tailored to the unique needs of organizations.

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Senior Director, Site Merchandising to define the next generation of B2B eCommerce. You will lead the evolution of our dedicated Walmart Business site and app, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience for our organizational customers. You will be responsible for creating a user-centric digital platform that drives engagement, conversion, and loyalty, and be accountable for delivering top and bottom-line results.

This is an unprecedented opportunity to impact the B2B eCommerce industry, and an exciting time to join Walmart Business as we accelerate and scale. You'll lead the maturation of our site experience, working in partnership with Walmart.com site leaders, Product, UX, and Engineering teams to build the next level customer site experience. You'll have the chance to be an intrapreneur and build something truly impactful while being backed by the strength of Walmart and the assets of the world's largest omnichannel retailer.

Your scope will be broad in nature and include:

  • Site Merchandising Strategy: Develop and implement a comprehensive site merchandising strategy that aligns with our overall strategy, ensuring a consistent and seamless experience across categories. You'll use customer insights and market data to ensure we 'Have' the right assortment for our customers, that they can 'Find' the brands and items they're looking for and can easily 'Convert' leading to more customers, higher conversion rate, and/or AOV, and overall loyalty.

  • Site Design and Layout: Collaborate with Marketing, UX, and Engineering to create a site experience that is visually appealing, easy to navigate, consistent with our brand identity and optimized for engagement and conversion.

  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO): Work with our SEO team to optimize the site for search engines, ensuring high rankings and increased visibility for our products.

  • Conversion Optimization (CVR): Identify areas for improvement and implement A/B tests to increase conversion rates and drive revenue.

  • Mobile Optimization: Ensure the site is optimized for mobile devices, providing a seamless and intuitive experience for our business customers on-the-go.

  • Omnichannel Enablement: Extend the functionality of our Walmart Business app to enable additional in store experiences and hybrid physical-digital journeys with high value to organizational customers.

  • Analytics and Reporting: Develop site metrics and dashboards and define KPIs to improve customer conversion and satisfaction, and to deliver broader business goals. Use data and insights to make informed and impactful decisions.

  • Site Feedback: Collect and respond to user feedback, using it to inform and improve the site experience.

  • Site Operations: Land the fundamentals and help scale best-in-class efficient workflows across multiple departments, processes, and timelines, embedding operational excellence and continuous improvement into ways of working.

  • Linkages to Walmart.com experience: Work closely with Walmart.com site leaders to design and implement the right "doorways" from Walmart.com to Walmart Business.

  • Integrated Commercial Planning: Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners on campaign / event planning and execution.

  • "Business Center": Partner closely with the Walmart Business team leading the development of "Business Center"-whereby organizations can set up and manage users, payment methods, spend limits, approval flows, spend reporting, etc.

You'll make an impact by:

  • Developing a next generation B2B-specific site in terms of taxonomy, findability, functionality, etc.-leveraging the best of consumer-grade experiences and Walmart platforms and tools, while also taking into account the unique needs of organizational customers and existing B2B standards and competitive approaches.

  • Creating coherent and compelling end-to-end experiences for multiple user groups (e.g., first time visitors, logged in customers, admins, buyers, etc.).

  • Optimizing our site for multiple variables-education, engagement, sign up and conversion.

  • Collaborating deeply with Walmart.com site leaders, Marketing and Sales to create consistent and mutually reinforcing customer journeys across multiple channels.

We're looking for a dynamic leader who is...

  • A relentless advocate for the organizations we serve.

  • A strong communicator who leads with why, conveys clear intent, and can adjust their messaging and approach to influence different audiences, including senior leadership.

  • A tenacious operator who can develop and execute an ambitious plan, relies on data to set and refine direction, and raises the bar for performance.

  • A mature leader who can work effectively with peers and in a matrixed organization, builds trust quickly and can lead by influence, and is able to debate ideas fiercely and then disagree and commit.

  • A change champion who demonstrates curiosity and a growth mindset, fosters an environment that supports learning, innovation, and intelligent risk-taking, and exhibits resilience in the face of setbacks.

  • A committed teammate who understands there's no room for "my side of the ship isn't sinking"

  • A people leader who attracts and retains a highly skilled, diverse and engaged group of associates through mentorship, team development, and succession planning.

  • A servant leader who is humble, self-aware, honest, and transparent, lives the Walmart values, and maintains and promotes the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance.
