POSITION SUMMARY:
NMDP is a non-profit organization in the exciting and rapidly evolving cellular therapy industry. We seek an Enterprise Architect to oversee our substantial and growing set of capabilities on our platforms, enabling operations, customer service, care plans, marketing, and sales.
Enterprise Architecture is a critical function that supports the strategic planning and alignment of our organization's technology infrastructure with its business goals. The Enterprise Architect is responsible for creating and implementing an overall technology strategy that meets the current and future needs of the organization, while also ensuring that the technology systems are secure, reliable, and scalable.
The Enterprise Architect works closely with key stakeholders across the organization, including business leaders, technology teams, and other subject matter experts, to identify business requirements and develop technology solutions that align with the organization's goals and objectives. The Enterprise Architect also provides guidance and direction to technology teams on the best practices and standards for system architecture, design, and development. ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead the development of the organization's technology roadmap ensuring that technology initiatives advance the company's primary objectives. Collaborate closely with business leadership to ensure technology strategies and investments align with business needs and vision.
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement. Conduct technical feasibility studies and provide recommendations and trade-offs for technology adoption and process adjustments.
Provide expert technical guidance and support to Software and Product architects and development teams, promoting architectural and design excellence to deliver advanced enterprise solutions. Guide custom development, configuration, automation, and AI-driven solutions to optimize business processes.
Lead cross-functional internal and external vendor teams in defining the architecture and integration of complex solutions.
Reviews Salesforce product release notes and roadmap - to maximize use of the product - resulting in improved business processes and better ROI.
Establish and maintain development standards, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps strategies, and release management best practices.
Provide guidance and support to other members of the enterprise architecture team on key initiatives and projects, definition of technical reference architectures and management of enterprise standards and patterns.
Play a pivotal role in actively and effectively influencing discussions and decisions within Architecture Governance and the Architecture Review Board (ARB), contributing positively as a collaborative team member.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills-able to engage and convey complex ideas/solutions to diverse technical and non-technical audiences
Deep understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Health Cloud and Experience Cloud.
Prior experience with architecting and implementing large scale, multi cloud salesforce solutions based on platform best practices.
Extensive knowledge of enterprise architecture principles, including security, scalability, performance, and data management.
A proactive and thought leader mindset to anticipate stakeholder needs and issues, develop potential solutions, and drive decision making.
Working knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks, such as TOGAF, Zachman, and FEAF.
Business architecture and how it supports business strategy and operations.
Regulatory and compliance requirements in the industry like GDPR, HIPPA.
Ability to:
Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail.
Comfortable to switch hats from Enterprise Architect role and work deeper in Software/Product Architecture space.
Act as a trusted advisor within the technology domain, providing support and resolving complex issues in collaboration with other Enterprise Architects, Service Delivery Managers, Product Managers, and Project Managers.
Engage with C-level executives and senior leadership to present architecture recommendations and roadmap strategies.
Champion a culture of teamwork and trust, driving collective success through collaboration, open communication, and mutual respect among all team members.
Work side-by-side with Software/Product Architects and development teams on best practices in solution design, including integration patterns, architectural standards, and environment management.
Learn business use cases quickly and effectively convey complex ideas/ solutions to audiences of diverse background and technical exposure.
Education and/or Experience:
A bachelor's in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field or a combination of equivalent years of experience, and/or certifications in information technology.
10 plus years of IT architecture experience, specializing in enterprise architecture, with at least 6 years specializing in Salesforce solutions
3 plus years of experience leading implementations.
Ability to share examples of leading significant technology projects, including strategy development, and road mapping.
Skilled in instituting technology standards, and managing vendor contracts, with a strong background in collaborating with business leaders for technology solutions integration.
Proficient in risk management and compliance, with effective communication of complex technical ideas to varied audiences.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (Additional qualifications that may make a person even more effective in the role, but are not required for consideration)
Experience with the Salesforce Non-Profit and/or Salesforce Data Cloud.
AI capabilities and implementation methodologies for advanced data analysis and predictive insights.
Knowledge of integrations with WS02
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools for Salesforce development and deployment.
Experience with AWS
SAFe Agile and TOGAF certifications
Experience in the Health and Life Sciences industry
