Enterprise Change Management (ECM) Senior Data Management Specialist

In our journey to Strengthen Resiliency, Northern Trust has created an Enterprise Change Management (ECM) Office comprising of an ECM Governance and Oversight team, Program Management Office (PMO) and Organizational Change Management (OCM) Team. Together, the Enterprise Change Management (ECM) Office will align with industry standards and regulatory expectations - standardizing a risk-based approach, tailoring change capabilities to risk level, centrally providing the change framework and standards, enabling with technology, monitoring standard adherence and tracking performance and outcomes.

The Senior Data Management Specialist will be a part of the ECM Governance and Oversight team and is responsible for the Enterprise Change Management data domain and will serve as the single point of contact for that domain. The Specialist will be a leader influencing change and will ensure the data and analytical solution is meeting supports informed decision-making.

This position reports to the ECM Governance & Oversight Lead.

Job Description

Major Duties:

• Foster and promote Northern's commitment to a strong data management culture and ensure support adherence to ECM Policy, ECM Standard and Program Management Standard.


• Operates independently with in-depth knowledge of business unit.


• Develop and implement data collection methods and procedures.


• Organize and manage the ECM Portfolio data to facilitate efficient analysis.


• Monitor and solve for data quality issues.


• Act as an escalation point for data and reporting related matters for the entire department.


• Partner with various business unit functions, program stakeholders and forums throughout the organization to understand needs in data collection, analysis and reporting.


• Systematically assess & challenge existing processes in data collection, analysis and reporting.

Knowledge:

• Excellent organizational and communication skills


• Proficient in database management


• Strong data analysis tool and software skills


• Capable of consulting with senior leaders and leveraging problem solving skills


• Sense of urgency, risk-awareness, and understanding of the required objectives


• Experience working in a global, cross-functional environment

Experience:

• Overall experience between 8 to 10 years


• BS/BA degree in relevant field preferred


• Experience in Data Domain, Data Analytics, Data Governance & Quality and Reporting


• Strong cross business unit experience

Salary Range:
$114,700 - 194,900 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
