The Role
The Entry Level Field Service Technician is to develop required knowledge of coil processing equipment and gain practical experience to prepare them for equipment repair in the field when ready to be dispatched.

Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Key Result Items
Assist with the disassembly and assembly of Coil processing.
Assist with cleaning of equipment.
Move pieces to work area using overhead crane.
Wiring Machinery and Electrical Panels and assembly of electrical components.

Apprentice Program Highlights
Approximate length of time 1.5 years from start date
Focus of equipment training is Levelers, Shears (high speed, and crop shears), Slitters, Recoiler and Unwind mandrels
Training is applicable to new equipment as well as rebuild and retrofit equipment
Supports other shop functions and business areas as needed to stay utilized between relevant apprenticeship work
Reports to local shop manager during apprenticeship program
Provides weekly summary report of work to field service dept manager
Education and Experience
High School Diploma required.
Strong Mechanical or Electrical Aptitude required.
Associate degree in mechanics or electronics is preferred.
