Position: Network Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Fox Valley, WI OR Charleston, MO
Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

Job Summary
As a Network Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, upgrading, and securing networks. This role also involves researching emerging technologies to assess their suitability for business needs and deploying technology based on written designs aligned with company and industry standards.
Responsibilities
* Develop and review project testing and implementation plans, including project timelines.
* Participate in capacity and performance management of existing infrastructure.
* Identify and analyze potential threats and vulnerabilities, implement security standards, and ensure compliance.
* Follow security architecture standards, frameworks, and guidelines while promoting infrastructure security best practices across corporate solutions.
* Contribute to the design and implementation of detailed disaster recovery plans, ensuring efficient backup solutions for data and systems.
* Provide technical support and guidance to users.
* Lead troubleshooting efforts for network and server performance issues.
* Assist with infrastructure strategy and continuous improvement planning as needed.
* Participate in on-call and after-hours support as part of a team rotation.
* Travel up to 20% to company locations as needed for support.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
* Associate or bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
* Minimum of two years of experience in networking or a related field.
* Experience or familiarity with:
○ Network systems such as routers, switches, wireless LAN controllers (WLCs), firewalls, network load balancers, and SD-WAN.
○ Hosted and cloud solutions, including Co-Location (Co-Lo), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).
○ Security solutions such as multi-factor authentication (MFA), privileged access management (PAM), security information and event management (SIEM), penetration testing, and vulnerability scanning.
○ Infrastructure monitoring tools.
* Advanced knowledge of network protocols and operating systems.
* Strong understanding of standard industry concepts, practices, and procedures.
* Technical aptitude, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
* Experience with documentation, project tracking, and management reporting.
* Proven ability to manage incidents and assess risks effectively.
Additional Skills, Experience, and Requirements
* Network+, Security+, CySA+, or other relevant cybersecurity certifications are a plus.
* Excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, with a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with all levels of management, colleagues, and vendors.
* Strong critical thinking skills, including logic and reasoning to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches to problems.
* Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities in a fast-evolving environment while meeting deadlines and deliverables.
* Experience working both independently on individual projects and collaboratively within a team.
* Adaptability to changes in project plans, demonstrating flexibility in implementing new strategies and methodologies as needed.
* Self-motivated, driven, and always seeking ways to improve current security efforts.
