Position Summary:
Reporting to the Talent Acquisition Manager, the Talent Acquisition Coordinator (TAC) provides support for the employment function of the College. The TAC, working closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager, works to ensure the recruitment process flows smoothly within a fast-paced environment, all while following hiring process procedures. Duties may include (but are not limited to) responding to applicant inquiries, providing applicant tracking system (ATS) support, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and administering a portion of the onboarding process. This position will communicate with a wide variety of College stakeholders, and an ability to use varying styles and approaches that reflect an understanding and acceptance of the role of culture in a diverse, multicultural workplace is required. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job: 1. Assist hiring managers through the hiring process when necessary and ensure compliance of all hiring procedures.2. Facilitate and coordinate the onboarding of adjunct faculty, clinical field/experience staff, and work study students.3. Assist with the creation of recruitment and retention strategies.4. Assist with posting approved job openings to various job boards, professional organizations, social networks, and other resources as necessary.5. Provide general job board and Applicant Tracking System (ATS) support, including technical issues, and ensure applicants follow the appropriate workflow in the ATS.6. Assist with sending training requirements to search committees and tracking completion.7. Assist with the creation of screening rubrics and determining screening criteria.8. Review and retain screening, interview, and reference documentation, consistent with College retention guidelines.9. Assist with the offer process, including collection of proper documentation, informing hiring managers of approval, and creation of offer letters and employment contracts.10. Provide support in administering the background check process, including (but not limited to) criminal background, drug/alcohol testing, and motor vehicle records.11. Support the onboarding process by entering new hires into the human resources information system (HRIS), sending clearance information to the necessary departments, and closing out candidates not selected. 12. Assist with the development, reporting, interpretation, and maintenance of recruitment metrics. 13. Assist with New Employee Orientation as necessary, to include contact/coordination with attendees/presenters, scheduling and booking conference rooms, coordinating with catering, and occasionally presenting as needed.14. Perform other duties as assigned by the Talent Acquisition Manager, Associate Vice President for Human Resources, and/or Vice President for Talent and Culture.
1. Associate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field2. Two (2) years of customer service or related experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment3. Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite4. Demonstrated knowledge of federal and state legislation and regulations governing human resources functions
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field2. Previous experience in higher education3. Previous experience in a human resources/recruitment function4. HR certification (SPHR, PHR, SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP)5. Demonstrated experience with handling sensitive and/or confidential information6. Demonstrated experience using an ATS7. Demonstrated experiencing using an HRIS8. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
