What to Expect
Manage the wholesale inventory audit process to ensure compliance in order to minimize credit risk and act as liaison between HCA, Data Scan and Data Scan's field audit staff. Manage HCA's Commercial Audit team to ensure daily tasks are performed timely and accurately and provide training and guidance to the team as necessary. Identify risk issues arising from floor plan audits and take appropriate collection or corrective action. Notify the appropriate Commercial Credit management members as issues surface.
What You Will Do
1. Manage the wholesale audit process to ensure compliance in order to minimize risk. Identify risk issues arising from floorplan audits and take appropriate action including coordinating with account managers and sales team to work with dealers to counsel and rectify poor audit results. Monitor daily payment activity and trend reports and ensure collection of due or past due payments according to HCA repayment terms. Notify and work with account managers, region managers and sales team on payment trend abnormalities.
2. Coordinate and meet with Commercial regions to review and recommend changes to audit scheduling. Review AI reporting tools to ensure that audits are being conducted according to required frequency settings and auditor rotation cycles and adjust schedules with regions and Data Scan accordingly. Ensure monthly audit schedule is completed and distributed timely; coordinate with regions and Data Scan on schedule adjustments, emergency or high frequency schedule changes. Act as liaison between dealers, HCA and Data Scan on any audit related performance issues that arise.
3. Manage the Commercial Operations audit team ensuring that audit results are distributed timely and accurately. Ensure analyst are following up on open audit items timely to resolve unreconciled dispositions. Provide training and guidance to the Commercial Operations audit team for their current role as well as development for growth into future roles.
4. Position may require up to 25% travel to high risk or default dealers to conduct on site audits, bank cutoffs and financial reviews as well as analysis and monitoring of default accounts. Must be able to communicate with high-level dealership management personnel including dealer principals.
5. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
• 5+ years prior Automotive Commercial and Consumer Credit underwriting experience required
• Strong knowledge of Financial Statement Review and Analysis
• Prior Workout and BCO experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred but not required
• Proficient in Word, Excel and Outlook
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Team oriented, strong interpersonal skills
Work Environment
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
