We're looking for an Accountant to join our client's accounting team. You'll handle day-to-day accounting tasks, prepare financial reports, enhance internal controls, and support regulatory efforts. You'll work closely with various teams to ensure accuracy and compliance in our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Accounting Operations
Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting tasks, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting.
Ensure transactions are accurately recorded for financial reporting and decision-making.
Support regulatory activities and manage inter-company billing.
Collaborate with finance and regulatory teams to ensure data accuracy.
Assist external auditors and support regulatory audits.
Financial Reporting
Prepare financial statements and reports following US GAAP, FERC, and SEC standards.
Provide reports and responses to regulators.
Contribute to sustainability reporting and budgeting processes.
Internal Controls
Perform internal control activities, address deficiencies, and identify improvement opportunities.
Enhance processes and collaborate effectively with other teams.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (required).
Professional certification (desired).
2-4 years of accounting experience.
Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
