About the Role:
Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accountant to support our clients with essential financial functions. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who can step in and contribute immediately in a fast-paced environment. Assignments may vary based on client needs, but all require a strong foundation in accounting principles and software proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries and reconciliations
Prepare and analyze financial statements
Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank statements and financial discrepancies
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
Support audits and financial reporting as needed
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
2+ years of accounting experience (public or private sector)
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite
Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Ability to adapt quickly and work independently
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

Pay: $35 - $40 per hr.
