Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a System Administrator - RHEL


Position type: Full-time, Contract
Duration: 12 Months possible extension
Location: Chicago Illinois Hybrid

As a System Administrator - RHEL, you will:

Experience;

• 6-8 yrs System Admin exp (Oracle, Unix, Linux, clustering, etc.)


• BA or BS in a related IT concentration or other concentratio

Technical:

• Expert in Unix system administration


• Solaris exp not


• Red Hat Linux


• Oracle Linux


• Storage administration (ZFS, LVM, Veritas)


• Ability to create original script/programs for system administration in at least one of these languages: Bourne shell, Perl, Python, Java


• Experience with Ansible, especially supporting build and patch automation for RHEL and OEL


• Experience with Red Hat PCS clustering


• Work extended hours or modified schedule for planned or emergency work


• Little oversight to drive assigned initiatives through to completion


• Experience leading technical discussions among peers, and drive troubleshooting to resolution

Preferred (6-8 yrs exp):

• Experience with OS clustering - one of:


• Veritas Info scale


• Oracle Cluster ware


• Red Hat PCS


• Experience with Oracle Exadata

Description:

• A System Administrator, often abbreviated as sysadmin, is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems and servers. Their primary duties include:
  Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure system security and efficiency.


• Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues.


• Creating user accounts and managing access control.


• Installing and upgrading software and operating systems.


• Performing regular backups and ensuring data integrity.


• Collaborating with network engineers to ensure smooth operation of the organization's IT infrastructure.


• Providing technical support and guidance to users.


• Documenting system configurations and changes.


• Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect systems and data.


• Conducting periodic system audits and ensuring compliance with security policies.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range: $70.00 - $75.00 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
