HR Soul is seeking a Project Manager to join our team. This leadership position is responsible for managing and overseeing preconstruction activities for multiple concurrent bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects, as well as other bridge and structures activities within highway projects in a designated district. The role will involve leading the development, documentation, and management of all preconstruction tasks from project assignment to contract award. This includes conducting risk assessments, working with stakeholders, managing public involvement initiatives, and supervising structural engineering and design work.

The Project Manager will also be responsible for the preparation of bridge plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.

Qualifications:
  • The required knowledge and skills are acquired through education at least equivalent to a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or closely related engineering field with an emphasis on structural design.
  • This position requires a minimum of seven (7) years of experience in bridge or structural engineering. Of those Seven (7) years, three (3) years must be as a licensed professional engineer.
  • This position requires a minimum of one (1) year of supervision, team lead experience, or equivalent education in an approved management development course.
  • Certifications, licensure, or other credentials include Professional Engineering license in the State of Montana, or through comity at time of hire.
  • Alternative qualifications include: Any combination of additional related work experience and education equivalent to the minimum qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Manage and oversee preconstruction activities for multiple concurrent bridge replacement, rehabilitation, and bridge-related activities in highway projects.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of engineers, ensuring that project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Design Oversight: Oversee structural engineering design, including the preparation of bridge plans, special provisions, and cost estimates.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with various stakeholders, including local officials, the public, and other company divisions, to ensure smooth project execution and public involvement.
  • Risk Management: Perform risk assessments for projects and develop strategies to mitigate potential challenges.
  • Compliance: Ensure projects adhere to engineering standards, specifications, and regulations, including AASHTO Bridge Design Specifications and company engineering policies.
