Profiles is hiring a Jr. Business Intelligence Analyst for a marketing agency client on a direct-hire, full-time basis.
Summary:
The Business Intelligence Analyst is a specialist in delivering executive-level reports and insights. They possess a deep understanding of our clients' and our own businesses, including their operations, revenue generation, and the impact of strategic and tactical decisions on financial and operational outcomes.
While their primary expertise lies in report building, creative problem solving, and effectively translating technical information for non-technical audiences, the Business Intelligence Analyst also possesses fundamental coding, mathematical, statistical, and data visualization skills to tackle unforeseen challenges.
Responsibilities:

Identifies and implements efficiency opportunities to optimize operational processes.
Provides necessary data, guidance, and support to inform future marketing strategies and tests.
Supports executive-level reporting for Client Services.
Reports and visualizes metrics and benchmarks to evaluate goal achievement.
Analyzes performance of high-priority initiatives and identifies improvement opportunities.
Analyzes data to generate insights.
Defines objectives and formalizes data requirements by understanding the root problem.
Identifies potential bias and errors in data sources.
Conducts analyses using medium-sized data sets (millions of records).
Integrates and analyzes disparate data sources.
Incorporates own business observations and stakeholder input into analyses.
Translates analyses and insights into decision-makers' language.
Develops narratives and presentations using analysis results.
Creates data visualizations to enhance understanding of analysis.
Engages decision-makers through thoughtful questioning.
Creates analogies that resonate with decision-makers.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or master's degree in marketing sciences or a related field, or equivalent combination of relevant work experience and education is required, Bachelor's or master's in a STEM field is preferred.
1+ years of proven work experience, with emphasis on business and marketing analytics.
Experience in setting up a robust test-n-learn framework for campaigns using randomizing sampling, multivariate testing, and A/B testing.
Proficiency in PowerBI
Proficiency in SQL programming or similar scripting languages.
Strong modeling and presentation skills using Excel, Tableau, and PowerPoint.
Foundational knowledge of probability and statistics.
Ability to translate business requirements into data points.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask and work under tight deadlines.
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to high quality standards.
Proficiency with SAS for data extraction, modeling, and generating operational reports. (preferred)
Ability to work collaboratively in a matrixed environment with individuals from various levels. (preferred)
Experience in a business intelligence/analytics role (preferred).
Previous experience with complex data sets. (preferred)
Knowledge of data warehousing, Access, Power BI, Excel Pivot Tables, VBA Applications, and analytic toolsets. (preferred)
