As a Production Scheduler, you are the strategic link between customer demand, production efficiency, and on-time delivery. Your expertise in planning, problem-solving, and coordination keeps operations running smoothly while balancing customer needs and internal efficiency. What You'll Be Responsible For
Keep the Team Safe - Actively participate in plant safety initiatives, spotting hazards before they become problems and promoting safe work practices.
Optimize Production - Own the production schedule, ensuring that operations meet customer orders while maintaining inventory targets.
Identify and Solve Bottlenecks - Work with production teams to understand constraints, downtime risks, and efficiency opportunities, adjusting schedules accordingly.
Bridge Customer Needs with Production Realities - Partner with Customer Service and production teams to align schedules with customer demands, minimize waste, and drive efficiency.
Coordinate with Maintenance - Plan around preventive maintenance and unexpected outages to avoid disruptions.
Leverage Data for Smarter Decisions - Use management systems and reporting tools to track performance, measure success, and identify areas for improvement.
Stay Flexible & Committed - Some scheduling calls may take place during nights or weekends. You'll also train as a backup in other planning areas to support the team when needed.
Drive Continuous Improvement - Help implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce downtime.
Requirements
Must have served in U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
