Position Overview:
As a Sr. Imaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting radiology technologists by performing a variety of clerical, technical, and patient-related duties. You will assist in patient check-in, exam preparation, patient education, and procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient experience for both patients and medical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide compassionate and professional patient care.
Oversee patient registration, including check-in, check-out, and insurance verification.
Greet visitors and patients, guide them to appropriate resources, and relay messages.
Set up imaging rooms according to the scheduled examination and required precautions.
Explain imaging procedures clearly and effectively to patients.
Assist in positioning patients to ensure comfort and modesty.
Support dressing/undressing assistance for exams and escort patients to and from imaging rooms.
Ensure all procedures align with safety protocols and established guidelines.
May be required to start IVs as needed.
Follow pre-established guidelines and rely on industry best practices to complete job functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
? High school diploma or equivalent
? CPR Certification (Preferred)
? Phlebotomy Certification OR Medical Assisting Certificate
