We are seeking a skilled EMS/SCADA Application Subject Matter Expert to support our Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Energy Management System (EMS) applications. This role involves analyzing business requirements, identifying technical issues, and implementing solutions related to key EMS applications such as Generation and Dispatch Control (GDC/AGC), Inter-Control Center Communication Protocol (ICCP), Transmission Security Management (TSM), and Dispatch Training Simulator (DTS).
The ideal candidate will serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and liaison between business partners, IT teams, operational technology (OT) teams, and infrastructure/networking teams to ensure the reliable operation.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze and resolve SCADA/EMS application issues related to real-time grid control and monitoring.
Configure, implement, and support ICCP, RTU, and Reliance Application (XA-21).
Maintain and troubleshoot Electric SCADA systems and real-time data broadcasting.
Engage in project management activities, collaborating with EPC teams, utilities, and internal/external stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
Ensure compliance with NERC-CIP regulations and manage changes using tools like ServiceNow.
Support integration between EMS applications and enterprise systems via ESB, APIs, and OSI Soft PI interfaces.
Apply expertise in networking protocols, automation, and control systems to optimize performance.
Utilize programming languages such as Python scripting for system integration and automation.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
2+ years of experience with Electric SCADA Systems and real-time data broadcasting.
Experience with ICCP, RTU, and XA-21 applications.
Knowledge of Control Center operations is advantageous.
Strong understanding of networking protocols, automation, and control systems.
