We are seeking a skilled WLAN Automation Lead Engineer to design, develop, and test Wi-Fi software features for Wi-Fi gateway/extender products. This role will involve troubleshooting customer Wi-Fi issues, creating and executing test plans, and utilizing Wi-Fi performance tools like Wireshark. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to process improvements, and stay updated with the latest Wi-Fi technologies. Experience with test automation frameworks and Python is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and test Wi-Fi features for gateway/extender products
Troubleshoot customer Wi-Fi issues
Create and execute comprehensive test plans (functional, performance, security, compatibility)
Test various Wi-Fi protocols (IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be) and security protocols (WPA2/3)
Use Wi-Fi performance and network analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark)
Track defects and work with developers to resolve issues
Contribute to the improvement of QE processes
Work in an Agile/DevOps environment
Preferred Skills:
Deep understanding of Wi-Fi standards and networking protocols (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, etc.)
Experience with embedded systems, OpenWrt, and Linux (Yocto)
Knowledge of networking tools (Wireshark, tcpdump) and security protocols (WPA2/WPA3)
Familiarity with mesh networking technologies and IPv4/IPv6
Experience with RDKB tech stack and network diagnostic tools
Qualifications:
Hands-on experience with automation frameworks and Python
Strong understanding of networking protocols and Wi-Fi technologies
Experience with Linux operating systems and SOC/OEM layers
