About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Python Data Engineer to join our team and work on the strategic cost allocation project in the Capital Markets space for one of the largest institutions in the US. In this role, you will work with a variety of AWS services to design, build, and optimize data pipelines, enabling data-driven decision-making at scale powered by Python API.

Requirements:

• Must have skills in AWS services development - Redshift, Glue, Boto3 , Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EC2, ECS, CloudFormation, RDS, CloudWatch,
• Python, Database interactions - block storage DBs, relational DBs, file storage
• Pandas, PySpark, SQL
• Data modeling and visualization
• AWS CLI
• Excellent communication skills
• Interactive user interface basics

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of SAS, familiarity with DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, Bitbucket, GitLab, Terraform) , experience with testing automation.
• Building services like Python API's like ( Flask,Django and FastAPI)
• Git, Terraform, Jira, Confluence, Agile, Pytest
• Great to haveJavaScript frameworks (React, Angular)
• UI/UX design - some UI is good, doesn't have to extensive
• Financial domain experience will be an added advantage

Other Details:

• Location: Hybrid (US candidates only), but local to Reston, VA candidates are preferable.
• Length: 2+ years, long term.
